Re: starting ploblems

a motor needs 3 things to run
compression
spark
and fule
first run acompression testand if that checks out then
make shure the plugs are firing you can touch the plug to any groung and turn the car over and you should be able to see spark. or you could put a inductive timing light on it and see if it flashes when you crank.
if that checks out
then you go to fule
is the pump getting power?
is the ecu sending pulses to the injectors. it is 12 volts. and you can use a test light
. your problem lies somewhere in the above

Re: starting ploblems

well I had a 86 RX-7 One year ago I had the same problem when I took it to the dealship they told me that the car was flooding out and that it was a big problem for this car he had put a swich in to turn the fuel pump off what the idea was when the car flooded out you are able to dry the spark plugs out by turning the car over a few times then you turn the fuel pump back on and the car starts right up Trust me this DOES work !!!!!
I used this trick untell I rolled it over !!!!!!!!!

Re: starting ploblems

Sounds like a hot start problem. How many miles on the motor? It could very well be a compression problem.
