95 esi idling REALLY HARD!

i have a 95 esi and recently took it to a mechanic cause it was not starting all the time and it smelled like it was running rich....i took it there and it turned out it was the fuel pump and now when i start it up it idles HARD as hell and the car shakes very vigorously like its gunna pop outa the engine bay. does ne1 no y this would be cause it stops when it reaches norm. operating temp. ne hlp would be greatly appreciated thx in advance.

well theres a couple things it could be if its smooth when u drive but ruff idle then u could need motor mounts but to me it sounds like u need a o2 sensor or if u replaced ur intake with a aftermarket one and took out the Mass air flow sensor. the machanic could of undid ur battery long enough for the ECU to reset so now it could be running with no mass air flow which would cause it to idle really ruff.

My 94 was doing that when I first bought it. I just tighten up the throttle body a little bit and it runs great now. After it heats up it idles at about 1.3k, but thats fine.
