I was just wondering when you guys refer to "B-15" and the other various numbers (SR20DE), what is it that you are talking about. Im planning on getting a spec v and was wondering what the "numbers" on those are or what the engine number is?
Thanks Edit: Number changes |

The B15 is the platform the car sits on.....
for instance: 91-94's B13's 95-99 Sentra's and 200sx's B14's 2000-2002 Xe,Gxe,Se,Se-R,Se-R SPec-V's B15 And as far as when we reffer to the SR20DE that's simply the 2.0L engine that has been featured in Sentra's and 200SX's since 91-2001...Hope this clear things up a bit...

you better not! i know where you live!!!
![]() i don't understand how parts will bolt onto the classic's sr20 and not the b15 sr20. if you can buy a bolt-on turbo kit for the classic, wouldn't it fit on the b15?? (i am definitely a newb, so what?) |

well as far as turbo kits its also clearance and the way the fuel system works i naddition to the ECU problem mentioned above. The SR motor line is gone from our shores except in the G20 which is a shame since, as far as I feel, is better than the QR25de. While engines share the same code differances in cams, fuel delivery, and computers differ. the ecu could become easy to over come with just a swap to a free standing or after market ecu. This would include putting new sensors and new harness, very hard.

sr = engine family code
20 = 2.0 litre d = dohc(dual overhead cams) e = efi(electronic fuel injection) hence, sr20de
