Motor Wont Start

After swapping in a d16A1 the engine wont start...
It turns over but wont start. It doesnt seem to get spark from the plugs... We pulled a spark plug and tested it and the wire is giving no spark in all 4. We got a new cap n rotor, wires, plugs. Its getting gas and cams are rotating and everything. Any ideas to as of why we wouldnt have spark? Also going from 2 to 4 injectors but seems to get fuel. Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Motor Wont Start

are you getting any CEL codes? if not, check the ignition coil to see if that is working properly. make sure all your connections are correct, and that you even have power running to your coil and distributor. you should really just do a once over on the whole ignition system to make sure that you didnt forget to connect any loose wires.

check power to your coil, also remove the neg wire from you coil and
put a test light to it and connect the other side of the test light to the bat pos, crank the vehicle. your test light should flash if not you will need to check the igniter, signal from comp, tdc sensor, cyl sensor and so forth..GOOD LUCK!!

Re: Motor Wont Start

Ok in the wirelooming where the 3 ECU plugs are in the car if you pull it up there was one bare wire hanging out... IDK why but I took that wire and grounded it and the motor started right up. We had a successful motor swap. Then my friend cracked the oil pan . But me n my friends did it. That was the problem though.
