Question Exhaust sound

I posted this in the thunderbird section and no one replied so im posting this here. I have a 3.8 v6 thunderbird. I was wondering if any muffler or a straight pipe set-up would make it sound like a newer v8 mustang. remember i have a v6 so i have no clue if i can get the v8 sound.

Re: Exhaust sound

my friend has a 2001 V6 mustang with flowmasters on it. its a newer cat back dual exhaust system. it sounds great. i think its as close to a GT as you can get. everyone asks her if she has a V8. i have a V6 as well with Mac exhaust with a mac off road Hpipe, junk all the way around. if you were wondering about them pipes, stay away. i would go with flows. it also gives you good back presure. unlike others that will piss out and lose the little horsepower you do have. i know jegs has them for a pretty good price. good luck, let us know how you make out

Re: Exhaust sound

i am not sure, i was look at jegs for you. they are either 40 or 50 series. they sound good. i told you b4 that the sound like a gt, i am sorry, i ment to say they sound like a gt with a nice pipes. its not that loud, but when you hit the gas, its sweet. ill ask her what she has and ill get back to you. keep check back ok. she turned into a cunt, i guess i didnt hit it right so she kinda dont talk to me now. ill see what i can do.

Re: Exhaust sound

no luck finding out with her. i guess she hates me. lol. i was looking thought, and its hard to find them for thunderbirds. maybe try a custem exhaust with your some flows or your fav. muff. Just make sure they dont give you to big of pipes. i would say 2 1/4 inch. you might to put up a post about what size to get and get other ppl advice.
