fan switch

I have a 2000 SE and I cannot seem to get my switch to work on the first or second settings for either the heat or a/c. It works fine on the other speeds. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: fan switch

Something very common to go wrong with most grand ams. With my 96 se it doesnt work on the last setting. My guess is its the heater resistor, thats what many people have said they replaced and thats what fixed the problem. As to where its located im not sure on your car, under the dash near the heat and a/c controls somewhere. Someone else should be able to help you further.

Re: fan switch

The blower resistor is mounted under the dash next to the blower motor. Follow the power wire(s) from the blower motor and you'll find the resistor. it's mounted with two screws and has an oval connector. By teh way, the blower motor is mounted under the dash to the passenger side of the center console
