'88 Caprice Break Porblem....

i got an '88 caprice and have been doing alot of changes to it , and i got a new rotor and new break pads and for the first time i tried to do it myself having not never changed break pads before. I got the new break pads on and blead the breaks and tightened everything and when i got into the car and tried to drive the break pedal would go all the way down and it is hard to stop, so i loosened the breaks and tightened them again and put break fluid and still same problem.

Got any suggestions on what i should do to fix this problem?

Re: '88 Caprice Break Porblem....

How did you bleed the brakes? There are a couple of correct ways to do it, but lots of ways to screw it up.........it only takes a bit of air in the brake lines to make for a very soft brake pedal.
