Replacing Headlights
I am hoping to replace the cloudy headlights on my 1995 Grand Cherokee Limited with some nice shiny new ones.
I would greatly appreciate some detailed instructions on how to remove the old ones. Thanks. |

actually ...... i found that using a single edge safty razor scraped off the clouded residue from the $50.00 + headlights , had a small scratch or two, but the lenses are clear and like new

Re: Replacing Headlights
Blue magic polish and 8,000 grit sand paper on a buffer, make sure you keep moving the buffer and keep the surface very moist. It'll take about 20 mins and cost about $7.00 (if you have a buffer!)

Re: Replacing Headlights
acording to my haynes manual, theres an air bag warning in the headlight removal section on page 12-12, they say remove the negative cable from the battery , and wait 2 min for electrical capacitor discharge , on 1998 and earlier , remove the radiator grill, grasp lower edge of headlight , pull straight back to detach from lower adjustor pivots, grasp upper edge pull straight back to detach from upper pivots, disconect electrical, install is reverse order , hope that helps , am quoting from the book , but havn t done it on my car as yet

Re: Replacing Headlights
High speed polishing is much easier. Try my suggestion, you can always return the ones you bought.
