Yes it is but you will need one from a Monte Carlo or Camaro so that everything lines up correctly and you have the parts facing the correct way.

the monte carlo is front wheel drive too and the camaros that have 3.8's were never supercharged. the only way i see this possible is the bottom end from a 3.8 camaro which is rear wheel drive you would need the exhaust manifolds or headers for a rear wheel drive car, and transmission. i would highly doubt a transaxle from a FWD car would work. then use the top end or a 1997 to present supercharged pontiac GTP which would include the intake and supercharger, as for the heads i dont know if you'd need the ones from the camaro or the pontiac. theoretically it should all work but sounds like to much mixing and matching id go with a some thing more like a vortec V6 out of a chevy pickup that would make more sense to me. sounds like a lot of work to me and will cost a whole lot more than what you'd get out of it! id just try wedge a 350 in there i know it can be done. i know of a V10 viper engine in a jeep wrangler some time ago in 4wheeler magazing. but here again thats a whole lot of custom work. id recomend going with a vortec V6 or a 350, both of those applications should be more realistic and cost wise it wouldnt be nearly as bad as mixing and matching 3.8 parts from a camaro and a pontiac GTP. remember the monte carlo was rear wheel drive in the late 80's but has been front wheel drive the last 2 generations.

I agree with Ih8RICE. the complicated combination that would be required to make it work would cost WAY more than dropping in a S/B chevy, and wouldn't be as powerful. If you're looking for the "open hood- ooh ahh" factor of your friends seeing a S/C 3800 in there, it's not worth the price of admission

you can supercharge it, but it would be a good deal of work, along with the supercharger, you would want new fuel pump, fuel filter, pistons, compression ratio, reprogramed pcm, more vacume lines, plus SC power is very harsh on input/output shafts. As far as im concerned the bottom line in this case is that the 3800 is not the best choice, or really even a good one for your application.
