Help deciding...
I have a '96 Civic EX, just a few weeks ago I must've hit a speed bump hard or somthing because I have an exhaust leak that's loud as hell. I'm thinking of just getting the factory exhaust system replaced with a custom system from the catalytic converter to the back with an Apex N1 universal muffler. Down here in Tampa we no longer have to deal with emissions, so I was suggested by a friend of my cousin to take a long flat-head screw driver and break the inside of the catalytic and I'll get the same performance, but I'm not too thrilled about that getting down there and start breaking shit.
Basically what I'm asking is: 1. What should I do with the catalytic converter a. break it apart, b. Testpipe, or c.straight through. 2. What size piping 2.5" or 2.25" 3. Your suggestions! I appreciate your opinions & tips you may have!!! |

You can basically do whatever you want. if you feel like breaking apart the cat then all means go for it. As for the piping....if your doing custom go with 2.5" piping all the way back until it hits the muffler and then put that on. If your going for aftermarket then its made to go from the cat back.

You gut the cat and you'll get a respectively cheap sound from your exhaust. Coupled with the leak, it'll sound EXACTLY like a pissed of bumble-bee
