Cam gear question

I just bought an 89 crx with i/h/e and an aem cam gear. The cam gear is set to "0". Shouldn't it be advanced 3 degrees?? How do you advance it? Thanks in advance.

Re: Cam gear question

Its there to make tuning easier. Its pointless to advance it when your motor is stock. You'll lose hp.

Re: Cam gear question

Agreed, get yourself a performace cam then you can put that cam gear into action.
