98 ford taurus......heater core

ok,
My heater core has needed to be replaced for the past 2 year. I have yet to do so because of the cost of have the mechanice do it. I want to do it myself. I know the dash has to come out to get to it. What i need to know is what parts need to come out? where the heater core is located? and what is the level of difficulty of doin this?

Thanks everyone, any input would be great!

Go into a part's store and thumb thru a Chilton or Haynes manual. You will see that changing out the core is a complex job. Might be worth the $15 that the book costs.
