i have a 90 teg and my engine blew out. so i went to some shop where they sell japanese engines and i asked for a direct replacement for my engine and they gave me a "b18b", how do i know if its a jdm or a usdm ?is there anyway to distinguish from the both ? does it make a difference ? thanx in advance

Re: usdm or jdm ?

yes it makes a diff
if it's just an ls then the USDM should be b18b1
make sure it's b18B1 or you might run into some smog issues

Re: usdm or jdm ?

the engine they gave me is a b18b without the ' 1 ' , so does that mean im going to run into smog issues ? and since i had a b18a1, am i going to have problems with wiring as well ?
