mmm, toasty
I have fried my p28
i have a del sol S and did an engine swap I have the p28 and when i hooked it up and turned on the battery, something started smoking.... i opened the inside and saw that a transistor had blown...not good. if you open the top of the p28 and look at it vertically and look in the top left by the 3 long IC's its right there to the left. Its SHOT! Well, i was thinking maybe it was the ecu so i tried my old ecu (forgot code) and crossed my fingers.....PFFFT! *smoke so, now both ecus are burnt......what is doing this.... I cant find a schematic (electoronics guru)or any diagram of the insides of the ecu..... the only thing i can think of is that there is a plug that is in the wrong socket...i know that the big ones are correct b/c they are all different. the only ones that are the same are the small ones like the IAT and MAP and all those in that area. the only other ones besides that area is the coolant temp(which my block no longer has) and i think thats it.... are there trouble ones i need to know about or inspect? I cant go blowing another ecu..... I want to find a way to replace the transistor so that this ecu isnt wasted. Its also chipped, there is a superchip in the ROM spot....I dont even know what its chipped for though... anyhoo, any help is greatly appreciated! |
