does anyone know any good sites for parts or even just info, anything at all for 1st gen 7`s? mainly parts is what i need though.

also thought i would ask if a 13b from an fc can drop into a gsl-se fb that also has a 13b. im not sure what, if any differences there are between the 2.

Re: fb sites

www.rx7club.com
http://www.vintagerotaries.com/FORUM/
http://www.sa22c.org/

search for the gsl-se T2 swap in the 1st gen section on the rx7club.com's board.

a 13b from an FC will fit perfectly. all you need to do is to keep the gsl-se front cover, gsl-se oil pan, gsl-se oil pickup tube and the gsl-se tranny. if you choose to go with a T2 engine, you'll have to mess arround with the OMP and also to drill a hole for the oil return line in the front cover, but its an easy task, i have a friend that did a cosmo 13b twinturbo swap in his gsl-se, he took many pictures, i can dig em out if ur going turbo.

if the car is equiped with a 12a, you'll have to buy an engine mount or have one fabricated. and you'll have to buy the gsl-se stuff too.

i did a 13b swap in my 81

Re: fb sites

you'll need a TII tranny.... non-turbo trannys are pretty weak... and I would expect you'd want the rear end as well...

Re: fb sites

hey soyo, take no offence but.. stay in the FC stuff

you just cannot fit a T2 rear end to the solid rear axle

the gsl-se tranny will hold up ~250hp, if you plan on doing more power, you'll need custom tranny mount and a custom driveshaft to fit the T2 tranny

the stock gsl-se rear axle will hold up just fine, plus its LSD.
if you want to upgrade it, you can get a '94+ miata lsd, those are torsen lsds, with better gearing.

check out this page, its full of good information, i forgot to send you the link previously
http://members.ij.net/mrmazda/cfaqmenu.html#FCF
the will "X from Y fit on Z" will explain better my points

6 port 13b's : from 84 to 92, all pre-rx7 and turbo 13b wer 4 ports
and if you wanna build a 13b out of a 12a, you'll need to use 85 or older rotor housings, in 86, waterjackets have been modified and do not fit older rotary engines .

thanks once again. what i may do is either build up the stock motor, its an 85 gslse so it is the 6 port 13b, or i may get a 2nd gen n/a 13b, still maybe even a tII, i dont even know yet. but all the info is quite helpful.
and i also finding tons of parts, so all is good and i should have the car in under 1 week! muahaha!
ah, im still going to need some stock exhaust parts, just the part with the cats i think. its all stock, except it has full exhaust, so im going to need some cats on there (temporarily) to pass emsissions. anyone know a good place to find used ones? i can get new ones, but dont want to spend the money for a part that will be on a day or two...i was just going to try over at 7 club.

Re: fb sites

<== idiot! I wasn't even thinking about an FB when I replied... dang I gotta stop posting here late at night... but yea I don't think its possible for the FC rear end to go on a FB just ignore that part of my post haha

I don't know if a TII engine will work with an FB tranny or not, never seen it done before
