Re: Help Gsx Way Slow

1st. just because it is automatic doesnt mean its slow.

2nd. check your boost settings and check your boost guage

3rd. has it always ran that slow?

hey i dont mean to sound like a dumbass but how can i tell if there is a boost leak? This is the first turbo car ive owned and ive only had it for about 3 weeks now. The Stock boost gauge does go up thou and i can feel a dif after around 2500 rmp i definaltly feel a boost. I have heard that the stock BOV leaks and i should upgrade to aftermarket but would it really be a big enough deal to make me run 16.5?

Re: Help Gsx Way Slow

buy an aftermarket boost guage, it will tell you if your boost is dropping or low

What is the elevation of the track you raced on? Im in Salt Lake City, Utah, and our track is about 4500 ft. Cars up here run almost 1 second slower than they do at sea level. Ex: 680 hp civic here ran an all-time best of 11.3. He took it down to Cali and ran a 10.4. Street legal too (if you own a 12 second car up here, your car is quick!)

Re: Help Gsx Way Slow

I've got a 96 GS-T and just got a 1gen BOV in... instantly!! I noticed alot!! of gain... i'd watch ebay or dsmtrader for a 1st gen BOV and give that a whirl... best and cheapest bang for my buck!!! What is a good time for 1/4 mile on a stock GS-T and GSX anyway?
