the time is drawing near, next step up, especially for ATX cars
well, i will say, something sure enough will blow, whether is an ATX record, or the ATX period. I have made my own turbos, which will be shipped off next week to be balanced by a turbo shop, in which i call these ThunderCruise T'storms. These are Twin TD04L 18T's ported and clipped to bolt up to the car with minor fabrication.
I after getting these going, before i can hit a track, i will have to spend some time tuning, so it might even take me til spring, depending on when the track's close around here. Unfortunately, we only have an 1/8th mile track, but i wil eventually travel to hit a 1/4th mile. Also, i will be limited on boost to run as i can only afford 450cc injectors and 255 lph fuel pump at the moment, and high compression, which will be dropped eventually anyways. I'm hoping that this extra lag will help out with traction as well. As far as helping the community out, this will be a big step up for the ATX guys, we will be able to begin determining the limit where the ATX will not hold power. I have probably pushed 350 whp through the tranny with only a tranny cooler with no problem at all. Now that it has been beefed up, we will see what it really is made of. As far as VR-4 guys go, these 18T's will also be a step up for the TD04 housing, without having to do excessive fabrications and costing too much money, as i had made these for actually a nice price for the bang. To put it like this, one guy on 3SI ran the twin 18T's, at 17 psi on pump gas, with just the LS6 MAFT kit, 720cc's and a supra pump, and managed an 11.6 @ 120. I'm hoping that now some of the 3/S guys are starting to get into these turbos, it will help us catch up to where we should be.

How much? If you can have they made to bolt up I'll buy.

i wont be able to produce any to sell anytime soon due to the fact that i'm out of money to produce them. Also, it'll be a bit more expensive to have a ""direct"" bolt on due to the fact i would have to buy wastegate relocation kits from rob beck, or figure out some way to make them. I can tell you how to make them if you PM me. This is costing me a total of $1100 for making the turbos, but i got a one time deal with this machine shop for boring out the turbine housings because they messed up on the timing of things. I would expect to add another $150, but anyways, for $1250, if you take the time, you can have yourself a pair of clipped 18T's. If you can't afford much downtime, then either you will need to buy a set of shot stock turbos, or go a slightly more expensive route that'll probably cost closer to $1500. For the power, that is still a damn good price.

well, the official name for a transmission is transaxle. So ATX stands for automatic transaxle.
