can anyone talk me through changing the battery on a 1997 intrepid? It's easily accessible i just don't want to do something stupid like plug in the wrong cable first..... thanks!@!!!

first thing you want to do is get a 1/2" wrench. Remove the black (negative) cable first. Then move on to the red (positive) cable. Remove the battery. Re-install the new battery put the red (positive) cable on then put on the black (negative) cable. To avoid mix-up, on the top of the battery, you should see a (+) or a (-). The red cable goes on the (+) post. The black goes on the (-) post. This should minimize the amount of mix-ups that you may encounter.
