Hey Canadians
I bought something from a guy in Canada on another board and he wrapped it in newspaper.. I was checking out the paper and saw the date was "Year 183, No. 194". What the crap does that mean? It also says the real date in the other corner though.. The paper is called "The Recorder & Times" if you care.

The resto of the world (except for the US and Myanmar) use the metric system!!! Haven't you heard of the metric calender?? (oh the ignorance.............)

i believe that 183 would be the 183rd year the paper has been in buissness and the 194 is the 194th edition of the paper that has printed for the year

In 1821 Sir Charles Tupper was born, and years later he became Prime Minister of Canada. The changes he instated were so revolutionary that we moved to the Tupper Calender to honor him, and all of our time is measured in years AT (After Tupper). This is the year 183 AT, but we also print our calenders in regular time for foreigners.
