94 325cic

Just purchased vehicel, first time BMW owner. I am getting black smoke out of the exhaust when accelerating. I have a maunual transmission, and the engine has 75k miles. I s this normal for this type of vehicle?

Yes, I had the oil changed at a local BMW dealer right after I bought it

NO black smoke IS NOT normal ! ! A number of problems may cause this BUT get it FIXXED. It's ruining your Cat. Converter and your oil!!!!
