2004 Frontier 4 cyl cruise control

Just bought a 2004 4 banger and need to put cruise on it (as you can NOT get it from the factory). Shops in the area say they can install. I would like any opinions on after market units, brand suggestions, ease of installation. I put one on my '82 Datsun King Cab, but that was back in the dark ages. How much different might it be today for a home mechanic with skills? Thanks, Steve.

Re: Re: 2004 Frontier 4 cyl cruise control

I put an Audiovox aftermarket cruise control into my 1988 B2200 Mazda truck in 2003; it was $99 at Autozone. It would be quite straightforward on your newer fuel-injected computerized models, the harness would simply plug in. On mine (carbureted) I had to attach an extra throttle from the cannister to the carburetor.
