Start by centering the steering wheel and then securing it (DO NOT ALLOW IT TO TURN WHILE YOU REMOVE THE STEERING BOX!). Disconnect the battery and disconnect the air bag system (drivers and passengers if equipped) by removing the fuses that power them, there may be several of them. Then disconnect the pitman arm from the drag link. disconnect the steering shaft from the steering box while not turning the steering wheel, this is important because if the steering wheel is allowed to turn or the pitman arm is put on in the wrong spot it will break the clock spring in the steering column and the steering wheel controls and air bags will not function or worse the air bag will deploy when you turn the key on. Remove the power steering lines from the box. Unbolt the steering box from the frame trying not to turn the pitman arm. Take the box out and remove the pitman arm from the box with a pitman arm removal tool while noting the location of the pitman arm on the steering box so you can put it on the new box in the same position (it will only go on in 4 different positions). Reverse this procedure to install it.
