1994 escort front brakes

Hello i am new here and just had a quick question. I am changing the brake pads on my wife's 94 escort and have already relaxed the piston, but the bolt housings that hold the caliper on will not relax and the caliper with new brake pads will not fit. 1 of the two on each side i have gotten loose but the bottom one on both sides will not budge. Any help would be appreciated

You need to go to your local Ford dealer and purchase new caliper sleeves, they are pretty cheap and they will also fix that nasty clunking noise you get when you lightly apply the brakes.

Hope that helps
