Would You Recommend This? 1987 RX-7....

My friend is selling his 1987 Mazda RX-7 GXL N/A. It has about 160,000 miles on it. He is a car guy so he definetly takes care of his engine and does tune ups and such. The paint job is pretty bad and looks like it will need a new one. The interior is kinda torn up in places, but he has replaced the dash with a carbon fiberglass aftermarket dashboard. The sunroof has been taped up because it leaks. It has a Pioneer CD Player (not worth over $100). I think I can get him to go down to $700 selling price for me. Do you guys think it is a good deal? I know the RX-7 rotary engines need a rebuild after 125,000 miles or so, but he says the engine is still strong. I COULD replace my 1994 Geo Prizm with this car, but how much will my insurance go up (17 year old driver?). I might buy it for $600 then resell it for a profit if you think it is possible. What do you think? Thanks.
