dash

Hi. I'm new to the forum. I bought a 95 firebird convertible last June and I'm now redoing it. As the only girl child, my male relatives have always done my auto work, never bothering to teach me. So now I want to try and do as much as I can on my own. First up I want to repair or replace the dash cover. There is a crack on the passenger side that runs from the windshield to above the air bag cover. Is it best to buy a new one or repair the crack? Does anyone know how I remove it? I'd really appreciate all the ideas and knowledge you can give me.
