Angry Help!!!!!!

Recently my engine light came on and with my handy dandy scanner, it seems I have insufficient flow in my EGR system. What tests can I do without getting robbed by the dealer and will it hurt my engine if I don't fix it right now??????

Re: Help!!!!!!

the quickest test is to find the EVR (egr valve regulator) - just follow the vacume line from the egr valve and it will go to the evr - pull the top off the evr (it will be hard to pop off but it will come off with some work) - place you finger over the tube in the top of the evr with the engine running - if the engine bogs down then you need a dpfe sensor - if it doesn't the egr isn't working properly and needs more tests - let me know and we can go step by step
