MAF vs. MAP

I talked to R.E.A.L. engineering about the 450 HP turbo kit they have that they for the new tiburon I4. I asked them what the difference between a 2001 tiburon I4 and a 2003. They said that the older american tiburons have a MAF sensor and a Bosch ECU, whereas the new american tiburons and all korean tiburons have a MAP sensor with a Siemens ECU. Now, I wonder if it would be possible to swap the intake from a new tiburon (with the MAP sensor) into an older tiburon and switch the computers. I wonder if the wiring harnesses are the same (probably not) but if I could get a diagram of each harness and switched the necessary wires, then I could use that R.E.A.L turbo on my car.

the 04+'s (as you know) do not have any turbo kits available...
noone knows why hyundai did this... jus makin it harder for tuners...

Re: MAF vs. MAP

I've been talking to R.E.A.L. engineering about having them build an engine for me. The company is based in Korea but the U.S. reps' office is in Stanton, CA. He is going to get me a Korean crate motor port and polished, forged pistons, lightweight balanced cams, titanium con rods, double valve springs, with the 450 HP turbo kit on their website (T3). All the work will be done in Korea and the engine will be shipped here. All I am waiting for is the price quote, which keep in mind is going to be almost $10,000. I am working right now to try and get people to sponsor me for drag racing. The engine I am getting is capable of up to 950 HP with a MOTEC computer. I guess the tib will no longer be a daily driver, but I might just get another one for that. If anyone else is interested in getting something like this let me know. There are alot cheaper alternatives, including N/A that makes over 250 HP.
