rubbing with 33 inch tires

i have slight and i do mean slight rubbin while in reverse on the drivers side i have already chopped a little bit of the bumper for clearance but it still rubbs a little bit and i want to take it off road but not with the risk or popping a tire so it has come down to add a leafs or a ful suspension lift in which case i will have to wait to get the moneyfor the suspension lift, the add a leafs are more or less a quick fix until i get the money but what i have heard is problems with u joints and stuff do to the change in the torsion bars sp u have to getr ur allignment checked after having the add a leaf installed so basically aftrer this long ass thing what i am asking is are adda leafs worth it for a quick fix for about a year bc i wont have the time or money to do a full suspension lift in college gimme ur opinion

First of all there is no such things as add a leafs for torsion bar suspension. It is either crank up the torsion bars and get a front end alignment, A lift kit or they sell a kit that comes with different upper control arms that is about a two inch lift and still is about $500.00. Yoy say that you have 33" tires, But that is not enough info. Are they 285/75/16 (33/11.50) or are they 33/12.50 ?? Even with only the 285's and cranking the torsion bars going off road is at best still risky. The tires will also rub on the back side of the fender well when turning. If you have 33/12.50 or larger you need a 4" lift if you want to be off roading without worrying about the tires rubbing. Either way you go the front end has to be aligned after the work is done.
