need help: problem with rear speakers

ok, a couple weeks back i had my car broken into and they stole my deck, i just bought a used one on ebay and had a friend install it. everything works except for the back speakers, can anybody tell me why? and what should i do? this is for a 91 accord.

first off, check to make sure you are hooking the speakers up the deck correctly. hook the front speakers up to the same place that you would normally wire the backs to, just to check it is sending a signal that way.

if the front speakers are able to play sound when wired to the back channels, then i would assume that either the speakers are broken, or the wire to the speakers is broken. grab an ohmeter, connect one end of the wires together, and see if you can measure the resistance on the other end. if not, replace wires. if so, try swapping the speakers with another pair to see if you get sound.

if wiring the front speakers to the back channels doesnt produce sound, then either check your wiring, or get a new deck.
