Re: 93 S10 starter
If you have it totally unbolted, you should just twist it, and drop it out. My starter in my 93 unbolts with 2 bolts going into the engine area, and then I have to unbolt the flywheel cover from the transmission. The flywheel bolts are the smaller 10mm bolts on the underside of the tranny. Two of them are easy to get to, the inner two are a pain in the neck.

is it binding on something. you will have to remove the flywheel cover, and is it 4 wheel drive? if so try loosening the front drive line. hope this helps. i dont think you should have to loosen the exhaust manifold.

Re: 93 S10 starter
What engine does it have? If it's a 4.3 then it should come right out. However if it is a 2.8 then you are in for some fun, like removing the solenoid and the wheel well!!!
