94 Camry Tail Lights (HELP!!!)

All of the tail lights on my 94 camry are out. I traced the wiring back to the lamp failure box on the left side of the trunk. The circuit board was burned and I then replaced it with one from a junk yard. The tail lights worked fine for about hour then the circuit burned out again. I took my car to a mechanic who spent about 3 hours checking all the wiring and he could not figure it out. What is going on!!!! I really don't want to take it to a dealer. I read on another board that this could possibly be caused by using generic 1157 bulbs that draw too much power. Could this be true? Please, somebody help me!!!!!!!

posibly it might be that because too much power being drawn can make electric circuit burn, but if your mechanic didnt figure it out, take it elsewhere, or you could just try to replce the whole thing, that way u wont have the same problem again.

sounds like a short to ground to me... but maybe not
