painting

now please do not hate me but i have searched all over and i cannot find anything... is it ok for me to paint a clearcoat or other type of paint after (if) i use polishing compound to remove any fine imperfecions? thanx

...I hate to say it but this topic has come up in the past. Answer is it is not reccomended to paint clear after polishing becuase the polish leaves residue behind. I would reccomend wetsanding inbetween paint and clear coats though to remove imperfections. Once clear is dry then polish. Hope this helps.
