I have checked all spark plugs and wires (all look norm). I thought it might either be an ignition problem because it sounds like a miss and there is a popping in the exhaust like unburned fuel. It will drive and go 70mph there is this slight jerking problem at high rpms and it is worse at low rpms. It is an automatic and the trans is a e4aod and was rebuilt by B&M about 60K miles ago. I thought is might be a the torque converter poping in and out of lock up.
This one is even making me guess I need some help here any thoughts would be helpfull. Thanks |

Re: 92 f150 hesitation and jerking problems
check your fuel pressure, sounds like it's a little low.

I think I found out what it is. I took it to a friend of the family because I have no money. He told me he thinks its the trans making a chattering noise that I am hearing and feeling. He told me that the trans fluid I put in (cheap once again) although mercon III didn't have the ford additive that keeps the clutches from chattering. The jerking went away but is still chatters alittle. He said that a rebuild for a E4AOD will be alittle more than $2000 and since it has already been done once they might cut me a deal at the same place but I dought it. I am going to drive it till it dies it looks like. Or find a used E4AOD.
