1k good deal?

i found a ka24de off of a website, they said it has been, hot run tested,
cylinder tested, inspected, steam cleaned, and palletized. For 995 i didnt think it was a bad deal considering it has 50k on it and i have 154 on my ka right now
tell me what you think

What is "wrong" w/ your ka you have now? also I don't think that is to great of a price. I found them for $850 w/ 30k on them when I was thinking about buying a new engine for a 240 I bought that I was told the engine was blown when it was just a headgasket.

Re: 1k good deal?

there is nothing wrong with it, besides the person who had it before me i guarantee he beat on it, plus, i want to turbo the ka, and instead of having to replace some internal parts, i would want an engine with 100k less miles on it, since i plan on having the car for a long time.

I honestly don't remember where I found it but it would be cheaper and better just to check that engine out really good and do general maintance someone hammering on it doesn't hurt it always... might be hard on the tranny and such but an engine is built pretty well. I would just check it out, people have been known to turbo engines w/ many more miles on them then you have and with great results.

sr's need to be imported. the chances of you finding one in a junk yard are slim to none as far as i know.
