computer speakers in a car???

hello! has anyone ever tried to put computer speakers in a car? im trying to figure out how to put these speakers http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/pr...CONTENTID=5048

into my 99 gt...my theory is that i should get an inverter to cover the power supply portion..but then how would i run it to my deck?..if anyone has tried it, or knows anyone that has pulled it off please let me know!!!

Re: computer speakers in a car???

Yeha, my buddy actually did this in a corsica he had, before he crashed it...
he mounted the speakers with duct tape and velcro. And used my power inverter to run the system, then just ran driectly from a cd walkman. I must say, the system sounded like shit though..be prepared...and they were creative top of the line 5.1 speakers...sound much better on desktops.

Re: computer speakers in a car???

Why would you want to do that?
1- That's a dumb idea!

I would imagine that your stereo has too much power to push computer speakers and probably sound like shit! To each is own.

Good Luck!

Re: computer speakers in a car???

I'm with MARS on this one. It doesn't make any sense, just save the money your looking on investing into the computer speakers and put it towards a nice clear crisp sounding system. In the long run you'll be more satisfied .

Re: computer speakers in a car???

i'm not going to pretend that i understand the science of acoustics and sound, but i do know that certain speakers are designed for different things. car speakers are for cars, when i got my system i set it up in my room and it sounded like shit. i've also tried to listen to a boom box in a car with no stereo and that also sounded terrible. i wouldn't do it man.
