well i was on the way home from another thursday night import meeting and i get on the highway and my boy pulls up to me in his 88 vw golf...he looks at me and i hear him select gear so i drop down into second and wait for his beeps (i have no horn, typical 94 civic) on the third beep we take off as usual and i shift from second to third and my hand almost went through the windshield i look down at my shifter and all i see is a piece of metal with no grooves or anything, i look in my hand and i see my shift knob with a piece of metal hanging from the bottom of it
....at this point i'm oh sh*t did i just break my shifter, a straight metal bar because i was shifting too hard, COOOL!!!!!!!! so i go back to all my friends at the gas station and tell them that when they can do this thats when they know there a true shifter, lol...oh well it was time for a short shifter anyway, i heard they give about 7 hp to the wheels, i'm excited!!! HAHAHAoh yeah and by the end of second i gave that vw about a car and a half before i had to slow down cause of my shifter

im from ny...and when i did my swap i just pulled the horn wires out by accident and never put it back...doesnt bother me much and plus its a weight reduction...lol

no hp gains but it takes a tiny bit of time off your e/t cause of the closer shifting. a weight reduction from removing your horn wires
