A dual 4 ohm can be wired down to 2 ohm or 8 ohm, and a dual 2 ohm can be wired to 1 ohm or 4 ohm. Use it to pick an amp that suits the sub well - e.g. if you have a 2 channel amp that can be bridged to 4 ohms, you will want the dual 2 ohm so you can get the most out of your amp. You might need to upgrade your alternator for that amp... since it is a class A/B and pulls a crap load of power according to its rating... I could be wrong though.
