Hard choice, need opinions

I had a long day and pulled up to close to the curb of my house. I ended up hitting the front lip. It's scratched badly and cracked on one side. Now I know a shop that will fix it and throw in a set of OEM ITR side skirts for $300. The problem is, I just put $375 aside for a set of crower cams or even spoon CTR pistons. Which way should I go? Keep in mind; I'm one of those people who IS concerned with the way my car looks. Not body kits and crap like that, but a nice clean JDM look. All input is appreciated............fISH

Re: Hard choice, need opinions

its really hard to say. beacuse u put the money away for those things. But u also care about how ur car looks. I think it comes down to what u want more power or looks. If u cant decide from that and I was in ur spot I would go with fixing it and getting the side skirts.

I say buy the cams or pistons and save up to get the lip fixed later on. I just think of it as; when you're in the car driving which upgrade will you notice. Looks on the outside are nice but more than likely you'll be on the inside more that you will be standing there looking at your car. Just my opinion of course.

spend your money on some underdrive pulleys. you'll get more power! But in case u decide to get the cams, make sure those are billet cams and not regrinds. I dont know much about crower cams but i do know that a lot of aftermarket cams are regrinds... not recommended for honda motors even though a majority of aftermarket companies produce them.

I vote cams. Looks are nice, but in my opinion, how your car drives matters more than what others think of it. Remember with getting cams though, if you don't want to do the install yourself, it won't be cheap to get them instaleld.

My honda may have less displacement than your coke bottle, but I'll race your coke bottle for $1000. Who says there's no replacement for displacement?

Re: Hard choice, need opinions

if you are really concerned on the way your car looks then go for the body and skirts
save up for the cams later
IMO

an underdrive pulley will give you about 1 hp to the wheels. depending on cams anywhere from 10 - 20 with proper tuning and accesories.

Re: Hard choice, need opinions

If the fixing the lip and getting the side skirts with it is a one time oppurtunnity go for it...cause the cams you can get anytime...and who know by the time you get enuff money for the cams you might also find a good deal or find it cheaper than before...just my 2 cents >_<

I have Unorthodox pulleys. Crower 62403-2 camshafts are the best you will get for a non/vtec Integra. Whats a regrind?
