Your heater core is going bad! Go to your local major parts store and purchase a can of "Bars Leak" radiator stop leak. http://www.barsproducts.com/origin.html

Follow the directions and it will do you for a while. But eventually you will have to replace it. $200 to $300 job.

i looked on the autozone web site and they have heater cores for around 30 to 50 dollars. the removal and instalation cant be that bad. and what about the trouble shooting code about the "knock sensor circuit" thanks

Re: knock sensor??(leaking coolant)

i dont know anything about knock sensor ciruit.
I do know that that heater core is not real fun. If you want to be able to get to it you have to take out half the dash.

Re: knock sensor??(leaking coolant)

if its coming out of the firewall then its more than likely the heater core. I cant think of anything else that would be in that area that has fluid running to it (assuming that the leak is on the passenger side). It is possible to do it urself if you have the time and patience. But in the meantime i would buy the Bars Leak if you dont have time to do it before the weekend.

Re: knock sensor??(leaking coolant)

The knock sensor is an unrelated coincidence. The heater core is definitely the coolant loss, but it's not that hard. Remove the passenger seat so you can lay comfy, and it's a matter of 7 screws to get the cover off, and two heater hoses under the hood, (jack the car up and remove them from underneath-much easier). Finally, remove the two straps hoding the core in and it's out
