gauge faces and needles

the other day I decided to put in white gauge faces, but after putting the in I decided they didn't look that good, so I took them out, but now my temperature needle is going all crazy all the time, it just jumps around by itself, and the gas needle isn't right either.
Does anyone know how to fix it? Or am I basically screwed.

If the needle is bouncing around like crazy then something is probably messed up. if you touch those needles even slightly then it could mess them up. You might even find yourself buying a whole new guage cluster.

what year civic do you have? i have a 98 and when i installed my indiglo's, i moved the needles. but when i started up the car, the temp and gas guages went back to where they originally were. I think if i have a later model, it does not do that. i heard something about filling up your tank and then putting the guages in so that you know where your gas guage goes. but as far as the temp guage.......check the connections in the back of the cluster.
good luck

I have a '01 Prelude. I filled up my gas, and the gas needle went back to normal, but the only one that's messed up now is the temperature. It jumps around, and it'll go from the very bottom to the very top in like a second.

yeah, I put them in and then took them out because it looked pretty crappy. But I moved them tons, and the only one I have a problem with is the temperature gauge.
