Question Coil Spacer Questions

Im thinking about buying a set of urethane coil spacers to give my jeep a little extra height. I would rather do this as opposed to lifting the body but I was wondering if anyone could tell me how hard it would be to install it myself and what tools I may need.

Hi,
The spacer lift or budget boost is the easiest way to lift a TJ. You can get the one from Rubicon Express for around $200 including shocks. Great deal!
No special tools required. Some people claim that you need spring compressors to install the springs after the spacers are in place. I did not use them and had no problem getting the springs back in. The hardest part for me was removing the old shocks. I bought an $8 nut splitter from autozone to remove them.
Here is a write-up with pictures.

Go for it. Many people have done this type of lift because it's a great way to gain some extra clearance for a minimal investment.

The next step would be a 1" body lift and 1" motor mount lift.
Good luck,
Dougget
