ooo...new toy...

...and more to come.

I got my Turbo Timer yesteday. Return address was Hong Kong. Kinda cool. Got it off eBay...$50 + shipping...I love eBay. I have my ball and spring boost controller and my 2" boost gauge on the way...all off ebay...I love it.

Notice the beer can for size reference. They say "Baby Turbo Timer"...they were NOT kidding...itty bitty...

I had never heard of them before, either...but I don't know why it wouldn't work...not exactly a very complicated piece of machinery or anything. Go to their website, www.pivotusa.com. They have tons of cool stuff. Seems to be a cool company. It is a pretty cool little piece of work...I'm probably gunna put it in my console so it's completely out of the way...won't even know it's in there.

$30 Austrailian? I can already buy Fosters for a lot cheaper here...

Bud light...good cuz it doesn't taste like much...you can drink it really fast...and it's not all I drink, either.

Re: ooo...new toy...

Thank you, sir. I was very pleased with it when I got it. Got it new, in the box for $50...with shipping it was...like...$65 or something. Not horrible for a turbo timer...but it's pretty unique, so it's all good. You probably won't see this around too often.

I ran into a problem when I got it. The directions are TOTALLY in japanese. 100% japanese. There were a few things I could do about this. First thing I wanted to try was go to Pivot's website and see if they had downloadable instructions, but I didn't know their site at the time. In my searches for it, I found a really great site, http://www.eautoworks.com/html/ape-a...ot~Product.htm . That's a direct link to some Pivot stuff. I think their home page is just eautoworks.com. The cool thing about that site is that you can click that little box at the bottom that says "powered by liveperson" under it and ask a real person a question if you have one. That's how I found Pivot's website that did have the english directions.

Re: ooo...new toy...

Ok, it really depends on whether what type of beer you're looking for. If you're looking for some metrosexual girly beer then by all means you can choose any light beer, or any expensive beer. If you're looking for a beer with a good all round taste, cant go past Tooheys Extra Dry (good all round Aussie beer, with some very interesting tv ads). If you're looking for a mans beer, cant go past Victoria Bitter (again, a good hearty aussie beer). You blokes have one decent chug of these and you'll never touch bud again. (thats bud the beer btw.. )

You can all come down to sydney if you want, I'll shout every single one of you a beer at the local pub.

-Mike

PS: just found this link regarding Rainer Beer.
Might have to try some of that some time, sounds like a winner!

Stock, they run a completely weeny ass 4-5 psi. I don't know WHAT they were thinking with this shit. The Neon SRT-4 runs 14.5 psi, stock. The stock turbo can only blow enough for 15 psi but it greatly loses efficiency over 12 psi. Without an intercooler, it doesn't do much good over 12 psi, but it'll be ok to 15. I'm probably going to run 8 most of the time and 12-14 when I want to have a little fun and the weather's cool enough once I get the boost controller.

You know...I think you guys assume I ONLY DRINK Bud light. I like Honey Brown from time to time...nothing like a good Dunkel on occasion...just found an awesome beer that you drink with an orange in it called Blue Moon a few weeks ago that rocks...and we're not gunna talk about the particular likings I take to Jagermeister and Rum...I'll try any beer once. I'd LOVE to go to Austrailia. I've ALWAYS wanted to go there. Might just take you up on that offer, bub...
