well today i went to remove lower ball joint on my SI to replace axle and i could not get the castle nut off the end of ball joint. i took cotter pin out and went to take castle nut off but the end ball joint threads would spin with nut as if they were one. any advice as to how to take nut off with out joint spinning as well?

Re: Lower ball joint

my upper ones did that, just press it up into arm while your taking it off, or pull it down... it cant rememeber, you have to put pressure on it to hold it though.
