Anti Theft Code and how to punch it in

I received my code from the dealership that I need to punch in to get my stereo working...but there is a problem. the code contains a 7 and a 9...i only have 1-6 on my stereo. My question is...how do i enter the code. I thought it would be a sinple process, but i can not find a shift key or a way to enter numbers higher than 6. i realize i seem like a fool, but any help woul dbe greatly appreciated.

mmmmm. I just checked mine and it has numbers 1 thru 6. I will search to see if I can find out what you mean.

uuh, try punching random buttons? or hold the 1 key for a second and see if that works...

believe me...ive tried the random numbers thing. also tried holding the buttons in for awhile. im thinking maybe the dealership was full of s@*t with the code they gave me. i just dont want to pay $50 to have them get it working again.

i mean really...if my stereo is stolen...what do i care if it works or not. i mean, i dont have the thing anymore...right?

You have a GOOD point on that. So this thing isnt REALLY "anti-theft".... is it.......
