need fan belt configuration diagram!

I really need a copy of the way the fan belts are configured or ran on the pulleys, help!

You don't say what year or type vehicle you're concerned with. Your signature indicates you have a Nissan. I think if it is a Windstar then the diagram should be in the engine compartment somewhere. Can't say for sure though and it's to dark for me to wonder out and check just yet.

actually its a 1994 mercury villiager, sorry. Didnt see a sticker under hook, I did look

Try a visit to the Autozone website.....and look under "repair" information (in the FREE repair guides).
Under your vehicle, they should have a diagram.
If it holds true to how the windstar is, smooth pulleys get the smooth side of the belt....and grooved pulleys get the grooved side of the belt.
The windstar has the diagram on the underside of the hood........at the front.
