B16 tranny on LS teg.

im very sorry if this question has been asked before, but im new to the acura/honda scene and need to know something.

will the usdm/jdm b16 tranny fit right in place of the stock LS tranny, without too much modification? keep in mind im keeping the LS motor, just want the b16 tranny. if so, when i buy a short shifter, would i still buy one for the LS or what?

thanks for your help, im glad AF can help me with this honda/acura scene.

Re: B16 tranny on LS teg.

the tranny should be a bolt on affair so long as your new tranny is the same type as the tranny its replacing. if you have a cable LS tranny(pre-93) and you replace it with a JDM B16 tranny (pre-92) then your fine. if you have a post 93 LS with the Hydrualic tranny, then your gonna need a hydrualic tranny from the donor car, unless you buy the conversion mount kit from www.hasport.com
