Starter Problems?

My starter will not turn off even if my ignition is turned off. I had to disconnect my battery to turn off the starter. Is this a starter problem or something else like ignition.

Your starter pinion is sticking. Remove the starter and look at it, also check your flywheel teeth, they might be broken, most likely youll have to buy a new starter. good luck!
