how about the amp?

do you already have an amp, or do you have a budget set aside for an amp?

Re: AM now ready to purchase subs any last recomendations.

am I just retarded, or do those numbers not match up at all?

going by the stereo power specs, when bridged it should put out:
400x1 @ 8ohm
800x1 @ 4ohm
1200x1 @ 2ohm

or going by the bridged power specs, when in stereo it should put out:
100x2 @ 4ohm
200x2 @ 2ohm
400x2 @ 1ohm
800x2 @ .5ohm

something doesn't add up

Re: AM now ready to purchase subs any last recomendations.

thats infinity kappa 5x7's are really nice, we just put four in my buddys f150, will sound better once he gets them on an amp. Today we also put an infinity kappa perfect DVC 12 and Hifonics Brutus amp running 2ohm 1000w. Sounds good, will sound better when he gets it tuned properly.

Re: AM now ready to purchase subs any last recomendations.

300-350?? 2 DD 1000series 12's would do you nice.... they are 4ohm SVC and if wired paralell into that amp MONO @2ohms 800watts would sound nice on them...129.00 each...or for a lil more slam in your trunk for a prettier penny 2 DD 2000 series 12's 169.00 each...the 2000 series is basicly the 1000 series with a lil bit better xMax and a lil bit better sensitivity...go to DDaudio.com and look around...
