Need 03 Input

I am thinking of purchasing a new 03 3.2 V6 Rodeo (yes, new). Being unfamilar with Isuzu, I have researched review boards and found similar complaints: EGR valve, large oil consumption, ABS, check engine light mysteries. Mostly these are for older models. Does anyone of any issues with the 03's? I've heard from unhappy owners, now I'd like to hear from satisfied owners. Also of concern is the discontinuation of Isuzu's bread-and-butter Rodeos (05 is the last they say) and talk of Isuzu possibly not being around to put out upcoming 07 truck model. Any input would be helpful.

the 00-04 are all pretty much the same. 98-04 all have egr issues which can lead to oil consumption (all you have to do is keep the system clean, easy DIY job, and watch your oil on road trips). ABS, hasn't really been an issue on th 00-04. The easy soultion to to replace the shocks, which help to keep your tires on the ground (new Monroe, sensatracks cost about 125 bucks).

Other then that it seems like a good strong truck.

Keep in mind what amigo says: It is a good strong TRUCK.
If you're looking for an SUV with a car-like ride, you'll probably be disappointed.

That said, I love my '01. I haven't seen anything on the market that I would rather be driving. Just had the slip yoke and 30K service done. Engine runs smooth and strong. New shocks are the only thing needed to smooth out the ride.

One of my in-laws has a 2003 rodeo 4x4, 5spd. She's got 30K miles on it already with zero issues. Isuzu cheapened up the interior a bit for 2003. You have to bump up to one of the high-end packeges to get the nicer cloth interior, interior lighting + better CD/stereo. The hi-low range transfer case floor shifter was also eliminated for 2003. Hi-lo range is now on the dash 4x4 button. They are a lot of truck for the money. We've had zero issues with our 2002 @ 25K miles.
G/luck
