98 camaro RS vs 2004 Acura RSX S Type
the cars have the same amout of horsepower, but my friends car is 600 lbs lighter. who will win ???

What kind of race are we talking about? There are other factors to think about other than horsepower and weight.

The Camaro is heavier, but it's got significantly more torque. Plus, RWD is better than FWD in most cases. Even so, I think the RSX Type-S would win.

auto? manual? both stock? with the information you gave...the lighter car is going to win.

Well, with cars having a manual from a stop with 2 experienced drivers I see the Camaro getting the edge from the get go...but then the type S realing it in and edging it out in the 1/4. from roll type S because torque isn't so much of a factor and it has the ability to rev a couple thousand rpm's more than the Camaro.
From what I know, the 3.8 5-speed F-bodies run low 15's with a good driver, and the type-S 6speed with a good driver is around 15 flat. |
